I'm getting a pink phone. Pretty excited about it.

Zay didn't want to finish his banana date scone from this morning because he was concerned that there were "legs in it." No really, he meant "legs" and not "eggs."

I have a cell phone that gets excellent reception everywhere but my home.

Trying something I've never done before makes me feel great. Yesterday I reupholstered our diningroom chairs, all by my lonesome. And they look awesome! Don't try and stop me.

Things I Am Doing to Decrease My Impact On the Environment:

-recycling
-buying clothing & household items from secondhand shops
-shopping @ farmer's market
-buying local and/or organic produce nearly exclusively
-I'm vegan
-bringing reusable shopping bags
-starting to purchase green cleaning products
-donating unwanted items to charity
-composting like a fiend

Things I Need to Work On:

-getting a more gas-efficient vehicle
-combining errands
-using all green cleaning products
-joining a CSA
-relying more heavily on farmer's market for all produce
-growing more produce at home

Z just asked if Aaron had a beard when he was little.

I wasn't a fan of egg nog when I consumed dairy but dang, Vitasoy's Holly Nog is pretty delicious. And organic.

Kids love candy. I don't know any who don't. Mine do. So of course when Z found a couple strawberry hard candies on the counter this morning, he wanted to eat them.

Z: "Can I have these candies?"

Me: "No, you may not eat candy for breakfast."

Z: "But they're sweet and you're gross!"

About 30 seconds later...

Z: "Sorry 'bout that."
